Not all muzzleloaders are created equal. Many custom and experimental muzzleloaders exist weighing up to 60 pounds and even higher with barrel diameters approaching two inches in diameter sometimes having experimental and specialized ignition systems, unlike any current production muzzleloaders offered on the market. Shooters of these types of muzzleloaders have went out on a limb and have came up with their own load data, component selection and loading procedures.
YOU MUST ESTABLISH A WITNESS MARK ON YOUR RAMROD AND TAKE ALL NECESSARY PROCAUTIONS TO NEVER LOAD YOUR MUZZLELOADING RIFLE WITH MORE THAN ONE POWDER CHARGE AND ONE PROJECTILE. NEVER CHARGE, LOAD OR PRIME A MUZZLELOADER UNTIL YOU FIRST VERIFY THAT THE MUZZLELOADER IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER FREE FROM DEFECTS AND KNOW WITH COMPLETE CERTAINTY THAT IT'S CURRENT STATUS IS NOT CHARGED, NOT LOADED AND NOT PRIMED. NEVER FIRE A MUZZLELOADER THAT HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH MORE THAN ONE POWDER CHARGE AND ONE PROJECTILE OR A POSSIBLE BORE OBSTRUCTION. DOING SO WILL LIKELY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DAMAGE TO THE MUZZLELOADER, SURROUNDING EQUIPMENT, MATERIAL, PROPERTY AND HIGH PROBABILITY OF BODILY DAMAGE AND / OR DEATH TO THE SHOOTER, BYSTANDERS OR SPECTATORS IN THE AREA. IF YOU EVER REALIZE YOU HAVE A DOUBLE CHARGED A MUZZLELOADER, MAKE SURE THE MUZZLELOADER IS DEPRIMED AND POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION AND SEEK GUIDANCE FROM YOUR MANUFACTURER(S) OF YOUR MUZLLELOADER FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION.
Pittman Bullets can not and will not make any recommendations for load data, component selection and / or charging / loading of your muzzleloader. USE NO OTHER LOAD DATA THAN WHAT IS RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER(S) OF YOUR MUZZLELOADER. ANY LOAD DATA PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER(S) OF YOUR MUZZLELOADER WAS DERIVED BY THE MANUFACTURER(S) OF THE MUZZLELOADER WITH NO INPUT OR RECOMMENDATION BY PITTMAN BULLETS. PITTMAN BULLETS MAKES NO CLAIM THAT ANY LOAD DATA PROVIDED BY YOUR MUZZLELOADER MANUFACTURER(S) IS SAFE TO USE OR HAS BEEN VALIDATED BY PITTMAN BULLETS AS SAFE TO USE. Pittman Bullets has not provided any load data or recommendations of any load data to any manufacturer(s) for any purpose including but not limited to publication in any manufacturer(s) owners manual, video instruction manual or information in any format provided to the owner or end user for use in any muzzleloader. Pittman Bullets makes no claim that any smokeless propellant or any other specific propellant is safe or recommended to use in any specific muzzleloading application.
It is the responsibility of the buyer of any item on this site to ensure it's compatibility with the manufacturer(s) of your muzzleloader.
Read your owner's manual and follow your manufacturer's recommendations for purchase, possession, safety procedures, handling, inspection, evaluation, preparation, maintenance, charging, load data, component selection and preparation including but not limited to propellant selection and bullet preparation, loading, unloading, priming, de-priming, discharge, cleaning, safe and legal transport procedures and storage of your muzzleloader and it's components for usage. If you don't have a manual for your muzzleloader, obtain a replacement from your manufacturer(s) before handling or using it or purchasing / using items from this site.
By purchasing / legally transferring / using of items from this site, the purchaser / transferer / user agrees to the conditions on this page and agrees to comply with Federal, State and Local Laws. This or any incidental or inadvertant load data is not recommended by Pittman Bullets to be used in your muzzleloader. Again, use load data only that is recommended, published in the owners manual and has been tested and deemed acceptable by the manufacturer(s) of your muzzleloader without exception.
Pittman Bullets encourages that shooters and hunters make safe and ethical choices at the range and in the field in terms of distance and shot placement. It is the responsibility of the shooter / hunter to know what is beyond the target and determine that the backstop is adequate prior to any firing of the muzzleloader. If there is any doubt that there is not a sufficient backstop behind the target, no shot should take place. It is the sole responsibility of the shooter / hunter to practice and become familiar with the ability and limitations of the equipment and components chosen, along with the skills of the shooter / hunter as well.
